QuICS Fellow Shares His Journey to Becoming a Quantum Mathematician

Carl Miller, a QuICS Fellow and mathematician in the Cryptographic Technologies group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), recently wrote of his academic journey—from studying pure mathematics to studying quantum information science.

Miller’s essay, just published by NIST, includes his thoughts on quantum logic, quantum randomness, and the future of quantum information science as it relates to protecting information.
